Robert Smael has a diverse work experience in various industries. Robert started their career as a Host at Theater de Lievekamp in 2002 and worked there until 2008. In 2008, they joined Radisson SAS (BLU) Hotel London Stansted Airport as a Trainee Housekeeping, Front-Office & Night Auditing. Robert then worked at Theater De Lievekamp again, first as an Assistant F&B Manager from 2008 to 2011, and then as a Facility Coordinator from 2011 to 2013. After that, they worked as a Conference & Banqueting Supervisor and later as a Conference & Banqueting Senior Supervisor at Pullman Hotels & Resorts from 2013 to 2015.

In 2015, Robert Smael also started working as a Freelance Photographer. Robert then joined the Royal Court Theatre, where they held various positions.
