Jan Terpstra

Jan Terpstra is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Royal IHC, with a strong background in mechanical design and engineering across various sectors, including offshore and construction industries. Since October 2017, Jan has been involved in production optimization for Plain Suction Dredgers, winch strength calculations, and the design of Pipelay equipment and dredging ladders. Previous experience includes leading engineering roles at Van den Heuvel - Werkendam, SBM Offshore, GustoMSC, and Huisman Equipment B.V., involving extensive collaboration with clients and the management of engineering departments. Jan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from TU Delft and possesses proficiency in various design software including Solid Edge, Inventor, and AutoCAD.
