David Altemus PGA, CCM, currently serves as the General Manager and Chief Operating Officer at Trout National - The Reserve, a position held since July 2024. With a lengthy career at the PGA of America beginning in October 1996, Altemus has demonstrated extensive expertise in golf management, particularly during tenure at Royal Oaks Country Club in Houston, TX, from July 1999 to July 2024, where responsibilities included overseeing all club operations as General Manager/COO and directing golf operations and maintenance as Director of Golf. Acknowledged for outstanding achievements within the Southern Texas PGA Section, accolades include multiple "Merchandiser of the Year" awards and "Golf Professional of the Year" honors. Altemus also contributed significantly to the growth of junior golf programs and shop sales. Leadership roles within the Southern Texas PGA included Honorary President and other executive positions from 2009 to 2016. Altemus earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communications from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.
