Joseph Oakley has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and organizations. Joseph has worked as an Expert Educational Advisor at the Department for Education since 2023. Prior to this, they held roles such as Associate Director of Education & Professional Development and Head of Assessment & Credentialing at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society from 2019. Joseph also worked as a Senior Examiner & Moderator of GCSE French at AQA from 2012. Earlier in their career, Oakley worked as a Teacher in charge of German at Lancaster Girls' Grammar School from 2012-2014 and as a Teacher of French and German at Bury Grammar School (Girls) from 2010-2012.
Joseph Oakley attended the University of Cambridge from 2005 to 2009. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Modern and Medieval Languages, with a focus on French and German. Following their undergraduate studies, Joseph went on to pursue a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at The University of Manchester from 2009 to 2010, specializing in Education.
