Stefano Cioni

Stefano Cioni has a diverse range of work experience. Stefano has worked as an Expert in the Blue Economy and Yachting Industry for the European Commission since 2022. Prior to this, they were the Principal Surveyor and Project Manager at RED ROSE MARINE LTD from 2016. In this role, they specialized in new building and custom project management, along with being a UK Ship Registry agent and MCA approved Coding Surveyor and Tonnage Measurer. Stefano also served as a Chief Instructor for the Royal Yachting Association and an Ocean Yachtmaster Instructor for VMB Yachts in 2016 and 2015 respectively. Additionally, Stefano has experience as a Captain for S/Y Tuscan Spirit in 2016 and as a Training Skipper for Clipper Round the World Yacht Race (Clipper Ventures plc) from 2018 to 2022. Stefano started their career as a Credit & Financial Advisor at Studio Cioni sas from 2002 to 2014.

Stefano Cioni's education history includes a Diploma in Yacht and Small Craft Surveying from the University of Portsmouth obtained between 2018 and 2019. In 1991, they attended ITC F. Forti Pistoia in Italy for Commercial and Accountancy studies, completing their education there in 1996. Additionally, Stefano has obtained various certifications, including being an Associate Member of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects and the International Institute of Marine Surveying. Stefano is also an Accredited Member of the Royal Yachting Association and has achieved the MCA Master of Yachts GT200 qualification. Stefano holds certifications as an RYA Yachtmaster and Chief Instructor, as well as the RYA/MCA Ocean Yachtmaster commercially endorsed certification.
