Salman Shaikh

Salman Shaikh has extensive experience in the field of DevOps and software engineering. Salman started their career in 2013 as a Software Engineer and IBM DevOps Consultant at Royal Cyber Inc. In this role, they were responsible for problem-solving, software architecture design, and transforming legacy systems into web applications. Salman worked in this position until November 2015.

Following that, Salman joined Elm Company as a DevOps Consultant from November 2015 to February 2017. Here, they continued to contribute their problem-solving skills and software architecture expertise, with a focus on customization of IBM Rational Team Concert.

Salman then took up various positions in different organizations. At GOSI - General Organization for Social Insurance, they served as a DevOps Consultant from February 2017 to May 2017. Salman also worked as a DevOps Consultant at Riyad Bank from May 2017 to December 2017 and at Samba Bank Limited from December 2017 to April 2018. In these roles, they provided technical consultation and contributed to the implementation of DevOps practices.

In April 2018, Salman briefly worked as an IT - Service Control Specialist at Alinma Bank before joining GOSI again in October 2018 as a DevSecOps Technical Lead and Release Manager. At GOSI, they focused on digital transformation and the implementation of DevSecOps as per best practices.

During their career, Salman has also been involved in various ambassadorial roles. Salman was an Ambassador for Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) since March 2020 and a Global Goodwill Ambassador for Global Goodwill Ambassadors (GGA) since October 2017. Salman also became a member of the FinOps Foundation in November 2020.

Overall, Salman Shaikh has a strong background in DevOps and has gained valuable experience in problem-solving, software architecture design, and the implementation of DevSecOps practices.

Salman Shaikh ✪ has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from COMSATS University Islamabad. In terms of additional certifications and training, Salman has obtained various qualifications from institutions such as IBM, Royal Cyber Inc., Atlassian, SkillFront, Scrum.org, DevOps Institute, CertiProf, and CloudBees. These certifications cover a range of topics including rational team concert, engineering test management, requirements management, IoT, token licensing, Jira service management, Trello, Confluence, Scrum, DevOps, Jenkins, and more. The obtained certifications span from 2019 to 2022.
