Petra Smits

Petra Smits is a seasoned professional in cultural heritage and the arts, currently serving as the Coordinator Archive at Stichting Sonsbeek, where efforts are focused on enhancing the accessibility and categorization of the Sonsbeek Archive in preparation for its 75th anniversary and the upcoming Sonsbeek edition in 2026. Concurrently, Petra holds the position of Secretary at Beeldende Kunst Nederland and works as an Erfgoedspecialist for the Cultuur met Kwaliteit project at Rozet, engaging with local schools to develop cultural education. Additional experience includes roles as a communication staff member at De Zaak Nu, project assistant for the Sonsbeek exhibition, tour guide at Cultureel centrum Rozet, and guest lecturer at Radboud University Nijmegen. Petra holds a Bachelor's degree in Research Master Art & Visual Culture and a Bachelor's degree in Art History, both from Radboud University.
