Jyoti Iyer has a diverse work experience that includes roles in conversation design and research. Currently, they are employed as a Product Owner - Conversation Design at RozieAI since May 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Conversation Designer (Contract) at Salesforce from May 2022 to January 2023. Jyoti's extensive research background includes working as a Researcher at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from September 2013 to August 2022. During their time at the university, they also served as a Member of the Board of Trustees, Student Representative, and Instructor. Additionally, Jyoti worked as an Editor at the Graduate Linguistics Students Association, University of Massachusetts in May 2014. Jyoti started their career as a Copyeditor at Jawaharlal Nehru University in August 2011, where they proofread and copyedited a PhD dissertation on a language of the Andaman Islands.
Jyoti Iyer began their education at Lady Shri Ram College for Women in 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature (British and Commonwealth) in 2009. Jyoti then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Linguistics at Jawaharlal Nehru University from 2009 to 2011. Following this, Jyoti attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2013 to 2022, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Linguistics.
In addition to their formal education, Jyoti has also obtained various certifications. These certifications include "Building Chatbots Using Google Dialogflow" from LinkedIn in March 2023, "Creating Great First Impressions" from LinkedIn in April 2022, "UX Foundations: Making the Case for Usability Testing" from LinkedIn in February 2022, "UX Research: Journey Mapping" from LinkedIn in February 2022, "UX Foundations: Research" from LinkedIn in November 2021, and "Conversation Design for Linguists" from the Linguistic Society of America (LSA) in August 2021.
Furthermore, Jyoti has achieved the "National Eligibility Test for Lectureship" from the University Grants Commission of India in October 2010, and they received a "Junior Research Fellowship" from the same institution in June 2012, which provided their with a monthly stipend of INR 16,000 for two years.
