Tony Grover

Managing Director at RPM Ventures

Tony Grover, who specializes in enterprise solutions and software-as-a-service (SaaS) businesses, is the firm’s numbers and operations guru. He brings with him deep technical and operating knowledge, as well as an extensive background in both internet entrepreneurship and venture capital.

Tony is currently involved with the following boards of RPM companies: ArborMetrix, Give and Take, and Convey. He was previously on the board of DeepField (acquired by Nokia), Deliv (acquired by Target), Arbor Photonics (acquired by nLight), Eden Park, Performix, Janrain, Caterva and Mobius Microsystems (acquired by IDT), and he led the firm’s investment in ShareThis.

Before co-founding RPM Ventures, Tony was vice president and partner at the $100 million venture capital firm White Pines Ventures, where he was responsible for investments in telecommunications, enterprise software and supply-chain sectors. He was also co-founder of Promotum, an Internet-based promotions, marketing and services company. Earlier in his career, Tony got valuable finance, engineering and manufacturing experience working as a business-and-cost analyst with Intel Corporation and as a manufacturing engineer for Cummins Engine Company.

In addition to his role at RPM, Tony is the immediate past chairman of the Michigan Venture Capital Association and a lecturer at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He also serves on the advisory board of the University of Michigan Frankel Commercialization Fund, a pre-seed investment fund established to identify and accelerate the commercialization of ideas generated within the university community.

Tony holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan, a master’s degree in industrial engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Business.
