Derek Black

Derek Black has a strong background in revenue cycle management and e-commerce. Derek most recently worked as the Director of Product Management at Knowtion Health, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they held the positions of Associate Director Revenue Cycle at GCIC from 2021 to 2023 and Revenue Cycle Consultant at Cedars-Sinai from 2021 to 2023. Derek also has experience in e-commerce as the Director of Ecommerce at Quantum PFS from 2020 to 2021. Before their roles in revenue cycle and e-commerce, Derek was involved in business development and owned several start-up businesses, including FreeMind Industries from 2015 to 2019. Derek also has previous experience as the owner of DNJ Fitness from 2006 to 2014.

Derek Black earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Philosophy from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, where they studied from 2007 to 2013. In addition, they have obtained several certifications in various areas such as Excel, leadership communications, vision, PowerPoint, leadership rules, project management skills, and SharePoint Online training from LinkedIn in 2022.
