Stephan Hirth has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Stephan started in 2002 as a Member of the Mainboard at ETH juniors. From there, they worked at Oerlikon Contraves, where they served as the Head of Part Assembly and later as the Head of Mechanical Manufacturing. In 2007, they joined Rheinmetall Air Defence AG as the Strategy & Business Development Manager before progressing to become the Program Director for the Asian region and then the i.PU. Management delegate for the start-up of the civilian Anti-Drone business. In 2014, they became the Senior Vice President of After Sales at Rheinmetall Air Defence AG. After leaving Rheinmetall, they worked as the Chief Operating Officer at Arktis Radiation Detectors Ltd. In 2018, they co-founded Verbindlich GmbH. Currently, they are with RUAG, where they have served as the Senior Program Manager for the Air2030/Bodluv project, the Head of Business Unit for Projects & Products Air, and the Senior Vice President of Business Area Innovation.
Stephan Hirth has a diverse education history. Stephan completed a High Performance Leadership Program and Mobilizing People course at IMD in 2022. In 2011 and 2012, they obtained a certification as a Certified Senior Project Manager from the International Project Management Association. In 2001, they achieved a Dipl. Betr.-und Prod.-Ing. ETH degree from ETH Zürich, specializing in Masters studies in Management, Technology, and Economics. Prior to that, in 1999 to 2001, they received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich. In 2008 to 2010, Stephan participated in the Rheinmetall Executive Development Program.
