Shawn

Shawn Small is an accomplished engineer and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the field of mechanical and composite engineering. As the Founder and Chief Engineer of Ruckus Space, LLC since February 2022 and Ruckus Composites since November 2008, Shawn has demonstrated a strong commitment to innovation and engineering excellence. Previous roles include Contract Engineer at Dedicated Computing, focusing on computer chassis and bracketry design, and Mechanical Engineer at Great Lakes WATER Institute, specializing in buoy design. Shawn also gained early experience as an intern at Johnson Controls, working on predictive diagnostics. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and Composites from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where studies were completed from 2002 to 2007.
