William Gates

William Gates is an experienced professional currently serving as an Operating Partner at NueCura Partners, LLC since July 2015 and as a Partner at Fortnum Capital Partners since July 2014, where the focus is on developing and funding early-stage companies in environmental technology and clean energy. Gates has been an ophthalmologist at Summit Eye Associates, P.C. since July 1993, specializing in cataract and LASIK surgery, along with conducting eye exams and consultations. Additionally, Gates served on the Medical Advisory Committee for Ophthalmics and Dermatology at the FDA from 1999 to 2007 and was a Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center from September 1993 to January 2003. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Pre-Medicine from the University of Louisiana Monroe.
