Ilysia Shattuck has a diverse range of work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Starting in 1998, they worked as a Campus Organizer and Canvass Director for the Oregon State Public Interest Research Group (OSPIRG), where they successfully led environmental and consumer campaigns and won a campus election. From 2000 to 2005, they served as the Deputy Campaign Director for the Sierra Club, overseeing multiple district campaigns and coordinating a coalition of staff and organizations. Ilysia then worked as an Environmental Grants Manager for Patagonia, managing their grants program and overseeing the transition to an electronic application process.
In 2008, Ilysia became the Director of the Florida Conservation Alliance, where they rehabilitated the League of Conservation Voters State Affiliate and managed all program work, including strategic planning and fundraising efforts. From 2013 to 2020, they worked at Sunflower Creative Arts, first as a Development and Resource Specialist and later as the Operations and Development Director. In this role, they oversaw the scaling up of the organization, doubled fundraising efforts, and executed various fundraising plans.
In 2020, Ilysia joined the Outreach Team as a Project Director, remotely overseeing multiple voter contact canvass offices for the 2020 General Election and Georgia Senate Special Elections. Ilysia surpassed goals, coordinated with clients such as Planned Parenthood and the United Food and Commercial Workers Union, and played a crucial role in voter outreach efforts.
Most recently, Ilysia held positions at NRG Consulting Group and Run for Something. As the Lead Recruiter at NRG Consulting Group, they utilized their organizational and leadership skills to manage the recruitment process. At Run for Something, they worked as the Development and Events Manager and later as the Major Gifts Manager, contributing to the organization's fundraising and development efforts.
Throughout their career, Ilysia has demonstrated exceptional skill and success in strategic planning, fundraising, program management, and leadership roles.
Ilysia Shattuck obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography/Environmental Studies from UCLA, completing their education between 1994 and 1998.
