Alexandra D. Harkai

Alexandra D. Harkai has a diverse work experience in the technology and finance industry. Alexandra D. started their career at Morgan Stanley as a Market Modeling Intern and later worked as a Quantitative Developer, supporting the London Structured Notes trading desk. During their time at Morgan Stanley, they developed pricing and risk models for structured products and collaborated with various teams for new product issuances.

Alexandra D. then moved on to Quantile Technologies Ltd, where they worked as a Quantitative Developer. Their main responsibility was to create and productionalize the ISDA Standard Initial Margin Model (SIMM) optimization engine. Alexandra D. successfully developed and owned the multilateral ISDA SIMM optimization engine and introduced optimization performance metrics with customizable constraints.

Alexandra joined R3 as a Software Engineer, focusing on disaster recovery and archiving applications within the blockchain platform Corda. Alexandra D. worked on establishing interoperability and backward compatibility within the Corda ecosystem and supported databases. Alexandra D. also implemented context-specific metadata indexing for archiving solutions and ensured compatibility with disaster recovery.

Currently, Alexandra is employed at Runa as a Software Engineer, starting in March 2023.

Alexandra D. Harkai's education history begins in 2005 when they started attending Eötvös Loránd University for Mathematics. Alexandra D. continued their studies at the same institution and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mathematics in 2010. Alexandra then pursued a higher degree and completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Applied Mathematics from Eötvös Loránd University in 2012.

Aside from their formal education, Alexandra has also obtained additional certifications. In 2016, they completed a 200hrs Yoga Teacher Training program at YogaLondon. Two years later, in 2018, they received the AcroYoga + AcroFIT Yoga Teacher Training certification from AcroYoga International. These certifications showcase their proficiency in yoga and highlight their dedication to expanding their knowledge and skills beyond their academic background.
