Aaron K. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Aaron began their career in 2013 as an Information Technology intern at FMC Ice Sports, where they assisted with IT planning and implemented a new point of sale system. In 2014, they worked as a Computer Science Course Grader and Resident Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, providing academic support and fostering a community for freshmen. In 2016, they worked as a Software Engineer CoOp at Lutron Electronics, where they designed UIs and conducted user research for a smart home app. From 2015 to 2017, Aaron led a team as a Software Engineer (and Bus Driver) at Pioneer Valley Transit Authority / UMass Transit Services, building web and mobile apps for trip planning and management. Aaron then joined VMware Carbon Black in 2017 as a Software Engineer (L1), where they contributed to the data ingestion engine and distributed search APIs. Aaron was subsequently promoted to Software Engineer (L2) in 2019 and Software Engineer (L3) in 2020, focusing on building the web UI for the Carbon Black Cloud platform. Most recently, Aaron worked at Onward as a Software Engineer, where they built and scaled the Onward app, aiming to turn it into a widely-used financial platform. Aaron has joined Runwise as a Software Engineer in 2023. Throughout their career, Aaron has demonstrated their technical skills, leadership abilities, and commitment to creating impactful software solutions.
Aaron K. obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. In addition, they obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance in May 2019.
