Jillian Rice

Jillian Rice is the account supervisor at Runyon Saltzman. Jillian was previously the communications manager at California Pan-Ethnic Health Network from April 2018 to May 2019. In this role, they created and implemented an organizational plan for strategic communications that contributed to both advocacy and organizational goals. Jillian also trained and managed staff from policy, program, and operations teams to help implement the work plan.

Rice has a background in policy and communications. Jillian has analyzed policy opportunities to determine appropriate messaging strategy and political implications. Jillian has also convened grassroots networks, developed community-driven policy agendas, and supported advocacy efforts. In addition, they have produced high quality publications, web content, social media campaigns, and other external communications.

Rice has also worked to position CPEHN as a health equity leader by disseminating policy research and securing speaking engagements with multiple audiences including media, policymakers, and the public. Jillian has also delivered a consistent organizational image/brand in all external communications to multiple audiences to increase visibility and promote narrative change. Lastly, they have cultivated new and existing relationships with media outlets, including serving as a media spokesperson.

Jillian Rice has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from California State University, Bakersfield and a certificate in HTML, CSS & Web Design from General Assembly. Jillian also has a certification from the California Department of Rehabilitation in Principles of Accessible Documents and Creating Accessible Forms.
