Joe Hooper

Joe Hooper is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in healthcare leadership and policy development. Currently serving as Chief Executive at the Australian and New Zealand Society of Palliative Medicine, Joe has previously held the Chief Executive position at Rural and Remote Mental Health and the South Australian Post Graduate Medical Education Association (Sapmea), where responsibilities included educational and training product development. Additional roles include Chief Executive of the Australian Medical Association (SA), overseeing business operations and political representation for doctors, and Registrar/CEO of the Medical Board of South Australia, managing the registration and conduct of medical practitioners. Joe holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) with Honors in Health Law from the University of Adelaide, a Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing from Flinders University, and completed the Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
