Shannon Wild

Shannon Wild currently serves as a Youth Services Librarian at Russell Library since December 2019, bringing a strong background in education and children's programming. Prior experience includes a role as a Fifth Grade Teacher at Roger Sherman Elementary School from August 2015 to December 2019 and as a Building Substitute Teacher for the Meriden Board of Education in 2014-2015. Shannon's experience at Wallingford Family YMCA as a Head Teacher from March 2012 to December 2014 involved caring for over 30 children and establishing professional relationships with parents and staff. Additionally, Shannon worked as a Camp Counselor at Camp Ulbrich YMCA from June 2010 to August 2013, focusing on safety and engaging activities for school-aged children. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Elementary Education from Southern Connecticut State University (2014-2016) and a Bachelor of Arts in English/Theater Studies from Quinnipiac University (2011-2014).
