Kate Samy

Kate Samy currently serves as Vice President and Chief Development Officer at Ruth Eckerd Hall, a position held since November 2023. Prior to this role, Kate was the Director of Advancement at the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, FL, where responsibilities included overseeing a comprehensive fundraising program and managing a six-member team across various departments. From March 2019 to June 2022, Kate worked as Associate Director of Development at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg, focusing on strategies for major gift fundraising. Kate's earlier experience includes directing events at the Allstate Sugar Bowl, coordinating ambassador programs for NCAA Final Four events, and supporting event logistics at the Florida Museum of Natural History. Kate holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Commercial Recreation and Hospitality Management from the University of Florida, completed in 2007.
