Oscar L. Garza

Oscar L. Garza serves as a Principal at Ryan since January 2022, bringing extensive expertise in excise tax advisory and compliance. Previously, Oscar co-founded Tax Advisory Services Group, LLC, providing specialized services in various indirect taxes from January 2012 to January 2022. Additionally, Oscar owned Oscar L. Garza & Associates, P.C., focusing on federal and state motor fuel taxes and taxpayer representation. Oscar has held significant leadership roles, including Board Chair at the United Methodist Church Foundation and Board Member at the Association for the Advancement of Mexican Americans. Prior experience includes being a Director at Deloitte Tax LLP, Associate General Tax Counsel at Shell Oil Company, and Tax Director at GE S&S Energy Products. Oscar holds a JD in Tax Law from the University of Houston Law Center and a BBA in Accounting from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
