Yao Tian

Yao Tian is an experienced engineer with a strong background in petroleum engineering, currently working at Ryder Scott Co. LP since November 2018. Previous roles include Post Doctoral Fellow 2 at the University of Houston from January 2016 to June 2018 and Petrophysicist at Marathon Oil Corporation, where Yao Tian conducted extensive analyses on North American shale plays, including Mowry, Woodford, and Eagle Ford Shales. Internships at Marathon Oil Corporation and ConocoPhillips involved evaluating stimulation targets and validating logging tools, while an internship at Schlumberger focused on reservoir modeling for the Eagle Ford Shale. Yao Tian holds a PhD and an M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and a B.S. from China University of Geosciences (Beijing).
