Tom Marchak

Tom Marchak has over 30 years of work experience in the steel industry. Tom has held various leadership roles, including Vice President of Global and RCSS Accounts at Ryerson, Vice President of National Accounts at Columbus Recycling Corporation, and Vice President of Commercial at Severstal North America. Tom has also served as a member of the Board of Directors at Spartan Steel Coatings, Steel Market Development Institute, Ohio Coil Coatings, and Double Eagle Steel Coating Company. Tom began their career at Bethlehem Steel, where they worked for almost 20 years and held the position of Product Manager Cold Roll.

Tom Marchak has a diverse education background. Tom completed a leadership program at The Wharton School in 1993 and also pursued studies in international business, trade, and commerce at Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business in 1990. In 1983, they graduated from the University of Scranton with a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Marketing. Prior to that, they attended Bethlehem Catholic High School from 1975 to 1979. Tom also engaged in educational activities at Thayer Leadership up until 2021, focusing on organizational leadership and communication.
