John (J.B.) Harmon IV

Product and Process Development Engineer at Ryp Labs

John (J.B.) Harmon IV has extensive experience in mechanical engineering and product and process development. John (J.B.) began their career in 2008 as a Mechanical Engineer at Niagara Dispensing Technologies, Inc., a high-speed beer dispenser start-up. In 2010, they joined the Peace Corps as a High School Science Teacher and Community Capacity Builder, teaching science and food and nutrition to over 600 students. In 2012, they took on the role of Architectural Specialist Manager and Mechanical Engineer at Synsor Corporation, a commercial casework vendor. In 2015, they became a Design Engineer at HaloSource, a water technology innovator. In 2016, they were Lead Mechanical Design Engineer at 4th Phase, a water filtration startup. In 2018, they took on the role of Tool Library Manager at the Ballard Tool Library, and also worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Windfall Lumber. John (J.B.) then became a Mechanical Engineer at Carsoe A/S in 2019, and in 2021 they took on the role of Mechanical Engineer at Picnic, a food automation company. In 2022, they began working as a Product and Process Development Engineer at Ryp Labs.

J.B. Harmon IV attended Kalaheo High School from 1998 to 2002. John (J.B.) then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, graduating in 2007.
