Chris Mikelson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries.
Starting in 2010, they founded and served as CEO of Epicsteme Inc., providing web design services to local businesses and individuals until 2013.
In 2011, they worked as an Industrial Design Program Webmaster at Iowa State University, where they also served as a Web Design Intern, assisting in the design and development of websites for the College of Engineering and its departments.
From 2012 to 2014, they gained experience as an Industrial Design Intern at Lucidream, contributing to the development of a new website and innovative products in the mobile phone accessory industry.
In 2013, they joined 640 Labs as the Lead Industrial Designer, focusing on design projects until 2014.
From 2014 to 2018, they worked at The Climate Corporation as an Industrial Designer.
In 2018, they became the President of Christopher Sears.
Starting in 2019, they took on the role of Owner at Troth Management, a property management company operating a training room rental facility in West Des Moines, Iowa.
From 2021 to the present, they have been working as a Faculty Associate of Entrepreneurship & Innovation at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management.
Lastly, since 2022, they have been serving as a Product Manager at Sabanto.
Chris Mikelson began their education at Urbandale High School, where they focused on Architecture/Construction. Chris completed their high school education and received a High School Diploma in 2009. After that, Chris attended Iowa State University, where they pursued a degree in Industrial Design. Chris studied at Iowa State University from 2009 to 2013, and successfully obtained a Bachelor of Industrial Design (BID) upon completion.
