Katherine Chin

Katherine Chin is a skilled statistician with extensive experience in air quality management and environmental science. Currently serving at the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District since November 2020, Katherine analyzes air quality data and evaluates pollutant distribution and transport. Previously, Katherine held positions as an Air Quality Specialist and a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Davis, focusing on compliance inspections and statistical analyses of biogas concentrations. Katherine's earlier roles as an Engineering Technician and a Research Intern provided hands-on experience with gas recovery systems, industrial wastewater evaluation, and ecological restoration research. Katherine holds a Master's degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of California, Davis, and a Bachelor's degree in Earth and Environmental Science from UC Irvine, complemented by minors in Global Sustainability and Education.
