Matt Oestreicher has a diverse work experience. Currently, they are the Executive Director of the SHU Community Theatre at Sacred Heart University, where they also previously served as the Director of the SHU Community Theater. Prior to this, they worked as a Consultant, supporting the establishment of the SHU Community Theatre and creating live and educational programming.
In addition to their work at the university, Matt is the CEO of Awestriker Music, a full-service music concierge company that provides various services such as recording, production, performance, education, contracting, and consulting. Matt has worked on various high-profile events and projects, including the Mars Rover Launch at NASA, Nobel Prize Ceremony, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Swiss television, Swedish television, and more.
Matt has also been part of the Amateur Night at the Apollo Music Team at the Apollo Theater since 2011. Matt has extensive experience as a performer, composer, and arranger, having collaborated with renowned artists like Stevie Wonder, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Alicia Keys, and many others.
Matt has also been involved in the Broadway and New York theater scene, working on shows like The Tina Turner Musical, Beetlejuice, The Prom, SpongeBob SquarePants, and more. Matt has also hosted The Mindful Musician podcast and co-founded Your Time to Shine, Inc., where they served as the Executive Director. Additionally, they have worked as a writer for Chronicle Books and PESI, published a book titled "This is Your Spiritual Retreat", and worked as an Advanced Clinical Intern at Positive Directions - The Center for Prevention & Counseling.

Matt Oestreicher completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy at Tufts University from 1995 to 1999. Simultaneously, from 1996 to 2000, they also pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music at the New England Conservatory of Music. Currently, they are pursuing a Master's degree in Mental Health and Wellness Counseling at New York University, starting in 2020.
