Justin Brooks

Justin Brooks has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Justin started their career as a Software Engineer Intern at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in 2006. In 2009, they worked as a Web Developer Intern at West Basin Municipal Water District, followed by a Data Analyst Intern role at Central Basin Municipal Water District in 2010.

In 2011, Justin joined SADA, An Insight company and began their journey as a Deployment Engineer/Developer. Justin then moved on to become a Software Architect in 2013, where they designed and developed new software products on various platforms. In 2015, Justin was promoted to the role of Director of Software Architecture, responsible for strategy and vision in expanding custom development practices. Justin led the implementation of a user-focused application development strategy and oversaw hiring processes for the entire custom development team.

Justin's most recent role at SADA was as Director of Engineering, which they started in 2016. In this position, they developed and implemented software development and release strategies to ensure quality code and thorough testing. Notably, Justin led the product development and software architecture for a mapping-based product for a major City's Department of Transportation, enabling coordination and tracking of street construction projects and special events.

Justin Brooks earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Cornell University, where they studied from 2005 to 2010.
