John Simmons

John Simmons has had a extensive career in the oil and gas industry. John co-founded Dauphine Energy in 2019 and served as the Chief Financial Officer until 2020. Prior to that, they worked at BHP from 2001 to 2018, holding various roles including BHP Petroleum Exco Member, Head of Global Planning, Investor Relations, CFO of Petrohawk Energy, and Global Controller of BHP Petroleum. John also worked at PetroCosm as a Planning Manager from 2000 to 2001, and at Unocal Corporation in various finance, accounting, and economics positions from 1993 to 2000. Currently, John Simmons serves as the Chief Financial Officer of SAExploration, overseeing the company's financial operations and contributing to its strategic direction.

John Simmons has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Accounting and Finance from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. John also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in International Business/Trade/Commerce from McNeese State University. In addition to their degrees, they are a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Texas, which they obtained in May 1999.
