Tara Van Ryneveld

Tara Nair van Ryneveld is currently serving as the Climate Policy Coordinator at SAFCEI since September 2022, focusing on the Rural Action for Climate Resilience project in collaboration with SCAT and HBF. Previously, Tara worked as a Research Assistant at Lund University from September 2021 to May 2022, where responsibilities included organizing stakeholder engagement workshops and conducting research on topics such as coal phase-out and eco-feminist transitions. Tara also served as a Research Assistant at the South African National Biodiversity Institute's Climate Funds Unit from February 2018 to August 2019 and contributed as a Conference Report Writer for the Adaptation Fund in June 2019. Additional experience includes providing logistical support as a Conference Assistant for GIZ in June 2018. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science from Lund University (2019-2021) and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Cape Town (2014-2017).
