Shevon Lewis is a Senior Staff Attorney at Safe Passage Project, where responsibilities include representing children and young individuals in removal proceedings and Family Court in New York. Prior experience includes serving as an Immigration Attorney at the New York Immigrant Family Unity Project, representing detained immigrants in various hearings. Shevon's background also encompasses roles as a Legal Studies Instructor at Keiser University, where teaching encompassed immigration law and other legal topics, and previous positions as Associate Attorney at both Hernandez Law Center and Kurzban Kurzban Tetzeli and Pratt, handling affirmative immigration cases and drafting appellate briefs. Additionally, Shevon’s experience includes work as a Fulbright Fellow managing cases under the Violence Against Women Act and various clerkship roles focusing on immigration and housing law. Shevon holds a Doctor of Law from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Communications from Temple University.
