Malcolm Gaines

Malcolm Gaines, Psy.D., is a licensed psychologist with over fifteen years of experience in providing psychotherapy to adults and children, specializing in child abuse, adoption, divorce, LGBT issues, and men's issues. Currently serving as the Senior Clinical Projects Director at Safe & Sound since September 2002, Malcolm has also held significant leadership roles, including Past President of the Board of Directors for the San Francisco Psychological Association from 2005 to December 2011. Earlier in their career, Malcolm worked as a Data Analyst at OptumHealth from February 1996 to June 2010 and completed a clinical internship at the Community Institute for Psychotherapy from 2000 to 2002. Malcolm earned a Psy.D. in Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology - Alameda Campus between 1997 and 2003 and holds a B.A. in Psychology and Religion from William & Mary, obtained in 1992.
