Thomas Backman

Thomas Backman is an experienced professional in mechanical engineering with a Bachelor’s Degree from USC Molinaroli College of Engineering and Computing. Since October 2015, Thomas has held various roles at SafeRack, including New Product Development Supervisor, Product Engineer, and Structural Mechanical Designer. Prior to this, Thomas owned Backman Bulk Vending Company from January 2013 to December 2015, where responsibilities included supplying bulk candy and maintaining vending machines. Additionally, Thomas served as a Page in the South Carolina State Senate from January 2014 to June 2015 and worked as a Grader at the University of South Carolina in 2014. Notably, Thomas undertook a special project as a Junior Design Engineer focused on designing a power generation system for boxcars.
