David Novakovic

David Novakovic has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. David is currently working as a Senior Engineering Manager at CalcTree. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Data & Platforms at Foresight Group Inc., where they aligned the commercial insurance business with the workplace safety product. David has also organized the Gold Coast Blockchain Meetup and worked as a Staff Engineer at Linktree. David held the position of Principal Engineer at LiteracyPlanet and served as the CTO at Cake Equity, as well as Interim CTO at Veriluma. Additionally, David worked as a Consulting Software Engineer at LiteracyPlanet, contributing to development in Scala, Python, and Node.js. David co-founded scrunch, where they held the role of CTO & Co-Founder and worked on data science, marketing engineering, and systems engineering. David's early experience includes co-founding Bendaware Pty Ltd.

David Novakovic has a strong educational background in the field of technology and computational linguistics. David completed their high school matriculation at Somerset College from 1994 to 1999. Following that, in 2004, they earned a Bachelor of IT degree from Griffith University. In 2005 to 2006, they furthered their education by pursuing an IT degree at Bond University. Later on, from 2007 to 2010, David attended QUT (Queensland University of Technology) and obtained a Masters in IT (research) with a specialization in computational linguistics.

In addition to their formal education, David has also acquired several certifications to enhance their expertise. David received an MCSE certification from Microsoft in April 2007. Furthermore, they completed additional courses in functional programming, including "Functional Programming Principles in Scala" from Coursera Course Certificates in October 2016, and "Functional Program Design in Scala" from Coursera in June 2017.
