Erica A.

Erica A. has a long and varied work experience. In 2013, they started their career at EY as a Senior Consultant and Advisory RISK Staff. In 2016, they moved to Xero as a Senior Cloud Security Engineer and to Tech Futures Lab as an Industry Expert and Teacher. In 2017, they took on the role of Director and President at BSides Wellington and Director at Sputnik Solutions. In 2018, they were the Créé at Kiwicon / Kawaiicon and Senior Incident Manager at CERT NZ. In 2019, they became Co-Founder, COO, and Huge Security Nerd at SafeStack. In 2021, they joined SafeAdvisory as Director and Digital Future Aotearoa as Trustee.

Erica A. completed a Master of Accounting from the University of Miami Herbert Business School in 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a BBA in Accounting and Computer Information Systems from the same school between 2009 and 2011. Erica also attended Broward College. In addition to their education, Erica A. holds certifications from GIAC Certifications, Amazon Web Services, ISACA, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. These include a Certified Incident Handler (obtained in August 2018), AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (obtained in September 2016), Certified Information Systems Auditor (obtained in January 2014), and Certified Public Accountant (obtained in January 2013).
