Amanda Merritt

Amanda Merritt is a Consulting Safety Officer II at Safety Partners, Inc. Amanda previously worked as a Lead Researcher at James Cook University, where Amanda designed and validated a system to measure respiratory gases of juvenile hawksbill sea turtles. Amanda also managed a team at the Turtle Health Research Facility, overseeing husbandry and enrichment tasks for marine turtles. Amanda has experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Rhode Island, where Amanda instructed biology classes and facilitated learning techniques for students. Amanda holds a Master of Science in Marine Biology from James Cook University and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from the University of Rhode Island.
