Edmarie Martinez, MPH

Edmarie Martinez, MPH has a diverse range of work experience. Edmarie is currently working as a Consulting Safety Officer at Safety Partners, Inc. from December 2021. Previously, they worked at Science from Scientists from June 2014 to November 2021, holding multiple roles such as Program Manager, Volunteer Coordinator, and Science Instructor.

Before that, they were a Tour Leader at Jumpstreet Educational Tours from December 2012 to April 2016. Edmarie also served as a Laboratory Technician at the University of Puerto Rico from January 2012 to August 2012. In this role, they performed experiments for the synthesis and modification of magnetic nanoparticles, as well as using them for separating plasminogen activator from protein mixtures.

Prior to that, they worked as a Research Student in a biochemistry lab at the University of Puerto Rico-Cayey from August 2009 to August 2011. Edmarie also served as a Teacher Assistant at Upward Bound at University of Puerto Rico at Cayey from June 2007 to July 2011.

Earlier in their career, they gained research experience as a Summer Research Student at Tufts University in 2009 and the University of Minnesota in 2008.

Edmarie Martinez, MPH completed their education in a chronological order. Edmarie obtained their Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree with a specialization in Environmental Health from the Boston University School of Public Health, where they studied from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they pursued their undergraduate studies at the Universidad de Puerto Rico, from 2006 to 2011, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology. In 2008, they also participated in a Study Abroad program at the Fundación José Ortega y Gasset, where they completed a minor in Spanish. Edmarie'ssecondary education was completed at Miguel Melendez Muñoz, where they received their high school diploma in General Studies in 2006.
