Software Developer: Special Projects

Job Description:

Assign, coordinate, and review software development activity with a deep understanding of development processes with both in-house and contracted teams. Work on SafetyChain software architecture to drive product and technology design decisions. Write, update, and maintain SafetyChain Software code to handle specific functions such as storing or retrieving data, batch management, and FSQA management. Collaborate and assist operators and system analysts in defining and resolving software engineering problems. Use industry knowledge of food record management systems to consult with managerial and engineering teams on software architectural design. Correct errors by making appropriate changes and rechecking the program to ensure that the desired results are produced. Perform or direct revision, repair, or expansion of existing software programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements. Consult with managerial, engineering, and technical personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems, and suggest improvements. Prepare detailed workflow charts and diagrams that describe input, output, and logical operation, and convert them into a series of instructions coded in a computer language. Write or contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end-users. Other professional duties, as required.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related fields.
  2. Two (2) years of experience in a relevant occupation (e.g., software developer, programmer analyst, software engineer).

  1. Travel to job sites in Texas and California once every quarter (4 times a year).

  2. Must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Annual Salary: $140,000 - $160,000
