Doug Clift

Doug Clift has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Doug is currently serving as the Director of Operations at SafKan Health since January 2023.

Prior to their current role, Doug worked at Canopy as the COO from May 2021 to August 2022. Doug also held the position of Head of Operations at Canopy from May 2020 to May 2021.

Before joining Canopy, Doug worked at DaVita Kidney Care, where they had a progressive career growth. Doug started as an Analyst, Operations Innovation from October 2014 to October 2016. Doug then moved on to become a Sr. Analyst, Operations Innovation from October 2016 to February 2019. Later, they were promoted to Manager, Operations Innovation, a position they held from February 2019 to January 2020.

Doug's experience in research and academia includes their role as a Whitaker International Fellow at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC). During their fellowship from September 2012 to December 2013, they led a project focused on the fabrication and analysis of a nanostructured vitroceramic for tunable bone regeneration.

At the University of Rochester, Doug worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Department of Biomedical Engineering from June 2011 to July 2012. Doug conducted research on leukocyte membrane dynamics. Additionally, they also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Department of Political Science from June 2011 to May 2012.

Doug's earliest work experience includes an internship at BIO-MEDIC APPLIANCES, where they assisted in constructing and implementing prosthetic devices, plastic braces, and foot orthotics. This internship took place from May 2009 to August 2009.
