Kalpa Perera

Kalpa Perera is an experienced engineering professional with expertise in mechanical design and project management. Currently serving as Lead Senior Engineer at Safran since December 2018, Kalpa is responsible for leading mechanical design efforts and managing a design team to ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer and Mechanical Design Engineer at Zodiac Aerospace, focusing on the design of aircraft seats and furniture for business class cabins. Kalpa began the career as a Graduate Design Engineer, gaining insights across various design engineering departments. Earlier experience includes an Associate Manufacturing Engineer position at GE Oil & Gas, where Kalpa supported tooling and assembly for pressure sensors. Additionally, a brief role as Resident Coordinator at Stanton Asset Management was undertaken. Kalpa holds a Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Loughborough University.
