Rafael Maldonado

Rafael Maldonado is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in design engineering, currently serving as Principal Design Engineer at Safran since December 2022. Previously, Rafael held the position of Senior Design Engineer at Zodiac Aerospace from October 2010 and at DRIESSEN AIRCRAFT INTERIOR SYSTEMS from August 2000 to July 2010. Rafael began the career as Chief Design Engineer at Constructora y Perforadora Latina, S.A. de C.V. from September 1990 to May 2000 and at Comision Federal de Electricidad from January 1983 to May 1990, focusing on the design of surface installations for geothermal wells. The early career started as Assistant of Project Engineer at Instituto de Investigaciones Electricas between January 1982 and May 1983. Rafael holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Engineering Mechanics from Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, awarded in 1983.
