Russ Mellor

Russ Mellor is a highly experienced professional in quality and risk management, currently serving as the Vice President of Quality and Risk at Safran since January 2023. Russ co-founded SHORTt CONSULTING in April 2017, holding the position of Chief Operating Officer. With a substantial background at GE Aviation from 2011 to 2023, Russ held various leadership roles focused on customer quality, operations, and system performance. Prior to that, Russ was the Head of Quality at Airbus, overseeing quality initiatives in Europe and directly managing critical programs like the A380. With degrees from prestigious institutions, including an MSc in Management from the University of Bath and a CORe Credential from Harvard Business School Online, Russ possesses a solid foundation in analytics, finance, and economics paired with extensive industry expertise.
