Brent Milne

Brent Milne has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Brent currently serves as the VP of Product Research and Development at Saga Education, a role they started in October 2020. Prior to this, Brent co-founded and held the position of VP Research at Woot Tutor since July 2019. Brent also co-founded Woot Math (Simbulus, Inc.) in 2013, where they served as the VP Research. Brent's entrepreneurial journey began in 2006 when they founded Kerpoof and served as the VP of Engineering. Brent also co-founded Radix4 Consulting in the same year.

Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Brent gained significant experience working at established organizations. From 2008 to 2012, they worked at The Walt Disney Company as the Director of Engineering, Guest Facing Software. Prior to that, Brent had a long tenure at Xilinx, starting in 1999 as a Sr Staff Software Engineer and eventually becoming a Sr Manager. Brent began their professional career as a Graduate and Post-Graduate Researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory from 1991 to 1999.

Brent briefly took a sabbatical in 2012 and started their career journey on a personal level. Overall, Brent has a strong background in research, development, leadership, and entrepreneurship.

Brent Milne completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering from the University of South Carolina from 1985 to 1989. Following that, they pursued a Ph.D. in Mathematics at the University of California, Berkeley from 1989 to 1995.
