Sameli Mäkelä

Sameli Mäkelä is the Production Director at Saga Furs, a position they have held since February of 2009. Prior to their current role, Mäkelä worked as a Sr Manager at Flextronics from February 2007 to February 2009. There, they were responsible for mobile phone manufacturing process development, the implementation of production monitoring measures, and the development of capacity planning and asset management tools to ensure effective global operations. Mäkelä also researched and developed new technologies on electronics assembly and robotics, and cooperated with FlexMobile sites in Malaysia, Mexico, China, India and Brazil to improve efficiency through sharing of Best Practices and Lessons Learned. Implementation of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) monitoring was also part of their duties at Flextronics.

From December 2004 to January 2007, Mäkelä worked as a SW Engineer at Cencorp llc. And before that, they were employed as a Product Development Engineer at PMJ automec Oyj from January 2001 to December 2004. There, they designed and implemented software applications for the automation industry using Visual Basic and C++. Sameli also tested and documented software components and supported customers on issues related to control and monitoring software.

Between their positions at Flextronics and Cencorp llc, Mäkelä was self-employed from March 2009 to September 2009.

Sameli Mäkelä has a Master of Science in Engineering from Tampere University of Technology and is certified in Six Sigma Green Belt from Aalto University. Sameli also has certification from FEANI in EUR ING.
