Anthony Williams has a diverse work experience in the fields of bioinformatics, statistical programming, and molecular and developmental biology.
Anthony is currently working as a Bioinformatics Engineer at Sage Bionetworks since November 2021.
Previously, they worked at Fred Hutch from 2014 to 2021, where they held roles as a Statistical Programmer and Research Technician. As a Statistical Programmer, they built software pipelines for statistical analysis in R and SAS for clinical trial data, primarily focusing on immunological data in HIV vaccine settings. As a Research Technician, they conducted research on the immune system's response to the Herpes Simplex Virus-2, using immunohistchemistry on skin biopsies.
Before that, Anthony served as a Graduate Student at Western Washington University from 2011 to 2013. During this time, they worked as a researcher studying molecular and developmental biology in plants, specifically focusing on cell differentiation in Arabidopsis. Anthony also taught an introductory molecular and cellular biology lab for science majors.
Anthony Williams received a Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics and Cell Biology from Washington State University, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. Anthony then pursued a Master of Science degree in Biology at Western Washington University from 2011 to 2013.
