Mamoun Hamdi

Mamoun Hamdi has a diverse range of work experience in the field of information security. Mamoun recently joined Sagen as the Director of Cyber Security in 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Cadillac Fairview as a Senior Manager, focusing on information security risk and governance from 2019 to 2022. During this role, they contributed to the development of risk and governance programs, conducted cyber-security risk assessments, and assessed GRC tools for improved risk management.

Before their time at Cadillac Fairview, Mamoun was employed at Arab Bank as an Information Security Manager in 2017, where they implemented risk methodologies and enhanced the incident response framework. Mamoun also held the position of Information Security Director at Arabtec Holding PJSC from 2013 to 2015, where they established the Information Security Department and implemented proactive security measures.

Prior to joining Arab Bank, Mamoun worked as a Risk Management - Information Security Specialist at Arab Bank from 2008 to 2013. In this role, they managed various projects, handled event monitoring and incident handling, and closed findings reported by audits and vulnerability management solutions.

Earlier in their career, Mamoun served as the IT Manager & Senior Network Administrator at Nuqul Automotive - Professional Data Systems Est. from 2005 to 2008, and as a Network Administrator at Engicon from 2004 to 2005.

Mamoun Hamdi, CISM, CEH, holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering with a focus on Networking from the Jordan University of Science and Technology, which they obtained from 1999 to 2004. Mamoun also completed their high school education at the National Orthodox School from 1983 to 1996. In addition to their formal education, Mamoun has earned certifications in Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) in 2012, and Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EHv6) from The International Council of E-Commerce Consultants (EC-Council) in 2010.
