Michael D.

Michael D. serves as a Principal Medical Physicist and Acting Director of Medical Physics at SA Health since April 2013, where responsibilities include writing business cases, project management, and treatment planning system management. Michael D. has extensive experience in the commissioning of clinical software and techniques, particularly in SBRT and proton therapy. Additionally, Michael D. holds academic positions as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of South Australia and an Affiliate Senior Lecturer, supervising graduate research and conducting research in Monte Carlo simulations and machine learning. Michael D. has contributed significantly to the Australian Bragg Centre for Proton Therapy and Research as an Associate Research Fellow while also having a background in storeroom management and IT support at the Heart Foundation. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Radiation Physics and a Bachelor's degree in Medical Physics from the University of Adelaide.
