Richard Orr

Richard Orr is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in test and evaluation, mechanical design, and project management across various high-technology sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Test & Evaluation Engineer at SAIC since June 2021, Richard previously held similar roles at Amentum, where responsibilities included managing Test & Evaluation Data Packages for submarine support equipment. Prior to that, Richard worked at Rolls-Royce and GE Aviation, focusing on engine development and testing projects. Richard’s career began at Bechtel Corporation and GE Power, emphasizing mechanical engineering and design. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute, obtained in 1996.
