Alvaro Garcia de Polavieja

Alvaro Garcia de Polavieja has had a variety of roles and experiences throughout their career. Alvaro began in 2004 as an analyst programmer at Cenáutica, where they developed applications and maintained networks. Alvaro then moved on to roles such as administration and sales, where they handled commercial follow-up and managed CRM systems. In 2010, they became the Deputy Director at Cenáutica and later took on the role of Director of Cenáutica Sevilla. In 2014, they founded and directed the Club de Patrones project, a community for nautical enthusiasts. In 2017, they became the CEO of Sailwiz, a position they currently hold. Additionally, since 2019, they have been working as a professor in the nautical charter course at Instituto Marítimo Español, IME.

Alvaro Garcia de Polavieja has a diverse education history. In 2001, they pursued a bachelor's degree in Informatics from the University of Lincoln, which they completed in 2004. During this time, they also gained knowledge in web design and creation with Macromedia tools at Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2003.

In 2004, Alvaro furthered their education at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, specializing in practical internet and intranet security and electronic commerce.

Moving ahead, they pursued various professional development opportunities. In 2013, they obtained an Advanced Open Water Diver certification from PADI. Following that, in 2016, they obtained an Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) certification from Emergency First Response.

Continuing their education, Alvaro completed a specialized course on Strategic Agility in Emerging Markets at the Guanghua School of Management, Peking University in 2016. Later that year, they attended HEC Paris to enhance their understanding of managing change in organizations.

Alvaro'seducational journey continued in 2017 when they attended Georgetown University McDonough School of Business to explore the nuances of leading in a global context.

Finally, Alvaro Garcia de Polavieja pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management from Esade in 2017, further expanding their knowledge and expertise in the field.
