Shreya Mangalam

Shreya Mangalam currently serves as an Undergraduate Researcher at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where research focuses on drug efficacy in limiting the spread of Polycystic Kidney Disease. This role includes receiving the Washington University Biology Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship, which provided funding for extensive research, and presenting findings at the Fall 2023 Undergraduate Research Symposium. Shreya also acts as a Chess Instructor at the Saint Louis Chess Club, educating elementary and middle school students in chess strategies, and collaborates with other instructors to develop engaging lesson plans. Additionally, Shreya holds a position as a General Chemistry Laboratory Teaching Assistant, mentoring students and providing support on course material. Prior experience includes working as a Medical Scribe with ScribeAmerica, where documentation of patient charts and collaboration with healthcare teams enhanced patient care. Shreya is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a focus on Genomics and Computational Biology at Washington University in St. Louis, with an expected graduation in May 2025.
